The chocolate nutcracker is an adaptation of the popular Russian ballet ‘The Nutcracker’ by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The show consisting of theater professionals and children put in the picture the story of young Claire and the chocolate nutcracker and their journey around the world in a dream.

The play begins with a pattern of the original Russian ballet ‘Nutcracker’ with a burst of jitterbugging and back-handspring acrobatics in vaudeville style. The charismatic aunt Pearle then starts narrating the story of nutcracker. The nutcracker in reality is a bewitched prince who is bound to return to his handsome self as soon as he finds his true love and he is no ordinary nutcracker but chocolate nutcracker, says aunt Pearle. Meanwhile Claire falls asleep in her bed, cradling the nutcracker doll her favorite relative has just given her, and starts dreaming the story she had just heard. She finds herself with the magical princess that escorts Claire and her candy consort around the world. They take a trip to Africa, the Caribbean and South America as well as imaginary world of Snake Pit, the Land of Miles, and Gospel Land.
