The musical is based on the 1989 Disney movie, which was adapted from the enchanted story of Hans Christian Andersen. The Little Mermaid musical debuted on January 10, 2008, at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater and instantly became a family favorite. The musical includes ten new songs apart from the hits like ‘Under the Sea’, ‘Kiss the Girl’ and ‘Part of Your World’. Sierra Boggess has her Broadway debut in The Little Mermaid as Ariel, and Prince Eric is played by Sean Palmer. The play is directed by Francesca Zambello.
